Boards show timetable information, not live running data. Times come from each railway's published timetable plus any delays, amendments or cancellations its staff record.
Who we are
NextStopLabs is the data controller for personal data processed by this service. To ask about your data, contact us at [email protected].
What we collect
Public departure boards and the public API need no account and collect nothing from you. There is no analytics and no tracking.
For railway staff who hold a management account, we store a username, email address, name and password, plus railway memberships and roles, invitations sent by email, organisation and contact details given in railway requests, and an activity log recording who changed what and when.
Why we use it and the lawful basis
Under UK data protection law we rely on our legitimate interests in operating a secure timetable service: providing staff accounts and railway memberships, sending and managing invitations, assessing railway applications, and keeping an activity log for security and accountability. The login session cookie is strictly necessary to keep staff signed in.
Who sees your data
Railway administrators see the members, invitations and activity for their own railway. Platform administrators who run the service can see all of it. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for marketing.
How long we keep it
Staff accounts are kept while the account is active. Ask your railway administrator to remove an account you no longer need. Deleting an account removes the link between you and past activity log entries, which are then kept without your name for accountability. Invitations are kept until accepted or cancelled. Railway requests are kept while under consideration and for a reasonable period afterwards.
Your rights
You have the right to request a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict how it is used, to receive it in a portable format, and to object to our use of it. Contact us at [email protected] and we will respond within one month. Staff can also ask their railway administrator to correct or remove account details.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, by phone on 0303 123 1113, or by post to Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF.
Cookies
The management area uses a session cookie to remember that staff are logged in. It is strictly necessary, so no consent is needed. We set no analytics or advertising cookies.
